Crawford earns Player of the Week honors
Ashana Crawford, a sophomore guard for the Coastal Alabama – South Sun Chiefs, has been named the ACCC Player of the Week for November 5-11. The Mobile, Alabama native led the Lady Sun Chiefs to a 2-0 record while averaging 17.5 points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal per game. She shot a perfect 100 percent from the charity stripe as well as 45.8 percent from the field, to include 42.8% from behind the 3-point line.

Purvis named Men’s Player of the Week
Tyrique Purvis, a sophomore guard from Coastal Alabama-South and Decatur High has been named ACCC Player of the Week for November 12-18. The Decatur, native led the Sun Chiefs in wins over Delgado and Snead State. He averaged 23 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. Purvis also shot 60 percent from the floor and 83 percent from the free throw line. Purvis is currently third in the ACCC in scoring at 21 ppg. The Sun Chiefs recently improved to 5-1 and lead the South division as of Nov. 30.
