Susan Elizabeth Flores Wilkinson, a resident of Spanish Fort, Alabama, passed away peacefully Sept. 28, 2017 in Daphne, Alabama.

Born July 3, 1952 in Newport News, Virginia to Carlo Jose and Ruth Marie Flores, Susan was raised in Redwood City, California and Kailua, Hawaii before moving to Mobile, Alabama.

Devoted wife to Jack Wilkinson Sr. and loving mother to Jeanne Marie (Coker) Moore (Bobby) of Foley, Alabama and stepsons Jack Wilkinson Jr. (Sheila) of Irvington, Alabama and Mark Wilkinson (Tracy) of Grand Bay, Alabama, Susan has one brother, Gary E. Flores (Nancy) of San Jose, California; two sisters, Audrey E. Struve (Marc) of Menlo Park, California and Yvonne M. Williamson (Jim) of San Carlos, California; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was a caring friend to many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Susan was vice president of Global Trade Services for Hancock/Whitney Bank. With 46 years of banking experience, she started her banking career at First National Bank of Mobile, Alabama in 1971. She then went to work at AmSouth Bank as vice president, International Banking Officer in 1981. She was passionate about her work and the relationships she had with her colleagues and clients.

Susan graduated from the University of Mobile with a B.S. in business management and a M.B.A. in business administration management.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017 at 10 a.m. at East Pointe Baptist Church in Spanish Fort, Alabama, with a memorial to follow at 11 a.m.

Interment will be at 12:30 p.m. at Alabama Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Spanish Fort.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be made to Southern Cancer Center, Daphne, Alabama, or The Breast Center at Providence Hospital, Mobile, Alabama.
