FOLEY, Alabama — An unidentified teen was killed in a single-vehicle crash late Saturday near the Magnolia Springs Community west of Foley.

According to a release issued Monday by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, a 17-year-old juvenile was driving south in a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer when his vehicle left the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned. A 17-year-old passenger in the vehicle was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. Because of their age, both the driver’s and the passenger’s identifications were not released.

The crash occurred just before 11 p.m. on Saturday, March 9 on Hartung Road near the intersection of Roy Waters Road, which is located between County Road 26 and County Road 12, southeast of Magnolia Springs, west of Foley.

The driver and another passenger were transported to South Baldwin Regional Medical Center, while the remaining two were taken to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola.

No charges have been filed in connection with the crash and no further information is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
