Terry R. Garvin, 73, died at his home in the Styx River, Alabama community on Dec. 28, 2016.
He is survived by his wife, Donna, married 32 years; his sisters, Yvonne Rogers of Pace, Florida and Susan Sundlun of Warwick, Rhode Island; and several nephews and nieces.
He went to Florida State University on a full football scholarship, was initiated into the SAE fraternity in 1962, played in the 1965 Gator Bowl which was won by FSU, and graduated with a degree in marketing.
He spent many years in sales, then went to work for Otto Candies in 1994, got his Merchant Marine Master License in 2002, and retired in 2007.
His desire was to give his body to the USA Anatomical Gifts Program, so there will be no service.
Any memorial gifts may be made to the Baldwin County Humane Society, Styx River Volunteer Fire Department, Baldwin County Reading Council, or any charity of your choice.
