TESTING 1, 2, 3 cancels winter events

TESTING 1, 2, 3, a volunteer organization that offers free memory screenings and balance testing for residents of South Baldwin County, visitors, and Snowbirds, has made the decision to cancel its winter events. TESTING 1, 2, 3 has been offering free screenings twice a year for the last five years. Typically these screenings are held in February and November. Due to COVID-19, the November 2020 and February 2021 events have been cancelled. The volunteers hope to be back up and running by November 2021.

“We shall return!” said Sam Strite with TESTING 1, 2, 3. “Hopefully next fall we will once again be able to provide this service to our residents. In the meantime, please remember to do your balance exercises so that you minimize your chance of falling. In addition, stay active, mentally and physically. It’s just about the best medicine there is!”

Those interested in a free virtual memory screening can schedule an appointment with the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. Call 1-866-232-8484 to schedule your screening on Mondays or Wednesdays anytime between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. CST or on Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. These screenings are free, totally confidential and only take 15 minutes.

“It’s the same screening test that we offer locally, it’s just done virtually,” said Strite.
