The Foley Woman’s Club met on May 1 at the Bay Forest Club House for a pot-luck luncheon. The meeting was called to order by President Barbara McCamish. Pledges and Club collect were led by member Joan Davis. New members who joined during the current year were recognized—Susan Morrison, Eleanor Parker, Janet Wilson Sherri Asselin, JoanAnne Gornam, and Karen Mannon.
Members were asked to recite in unison an old childhood blessing; after which a buffet pot-luck lunch was enjoyed.
Mad Hatters’ Event chair, Kelly Barrett, presented a video of pictures from the March Mad Hatters’ event which highlighted the decorations, entertainment, raffles and auction items. Members were commended for their work on the event.
Sylvia Womack presided over the installation service for the newly elected officers for the 2017-2018 Club year. She charged each officer with their duties by using different colors for each office. Some wore their assigned color in their hats.
Outgoing president, Barbara McCamish, presented the club gavel to the new president, Christine Anglin, who closed the meeting.
