Theodore man on motorcycle dies in head-on crash with SUV in Loxley

LOXLEY, Alabama — A Theodore man was killed when his motorcycle collided head-on with an SUV on Sunday in Loxley.

According to a release issued Monday by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, James Douglas Turner, 59, of Theodore was killed when his 2006 Harley Davidson collided with a 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe, driven by Marcella Veasy, 51, of Robertsdale.

A juvenile passenger was transported by air to a local hospital with serious injuries, according to Loxley PD. Two passengers in the SUV were transported by ground to a local hospital with minor injuries.

According to reports, the crash occurred on Alabama 59 between Black Devine Road and Hinote Glass Road in Loxley.

On Monday, the investigation was turned over to Alabama State Troopers, who continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
