William Elmore May Jr. (Bill) of Fairhope, Alabama passed away on May 6, 2019 peacefully at home surrounded by family.
He was a loving and devoted father, brother and husband. He was also an inventor, entrepreneur, philosopher and comedian. He was passionate about music and cars.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jane Tucker Foreman and William Elmore May Sr. (Col. USAF Ret.).
Bill is survived by his children, Todd Arthur May (Kelly), Huntsville, Alabama, Sean Frecker May (Katherine), Fairhope, Alabama, William Brooks May, New Orleans, Louisiana, Sara (Sadie) Douglass May, New Orleans, Louisiana and Andrew Maxwell May, Fairhope, Alabama.
He is also survived by grandchildren, Carson Lee May, Madison Tucker May, Harrison Walker May, Sarah Elizabeth May, Huntsville, Alabama, and Myla Grace May, Fairhope, Alabama.
Bill also leaves behind his loving and devoted Colette May and her daughter, Karen C. Danner.
Bill preceded his sisters, Catherine (Kay) Garner (Earl), Abbie Parks (Boyd), Margaret (Peggy) Keller, Melissa Seales (Eddie); and brother, James Tucker May (Colette); and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at 12 o'clock in the afternoon on Thursday, May 9 at the Fairhope Municipal Park pavilion.
A reception will immediately follow the service.
