It is with great sadness that the family of William Joseph Gremillion announce his passing on Monday, July 2, 2018 following an illness at the age of 76 yrs.

A native of Springhill, Louisiana, Joe graduated from Springhill High School and then attended LSU where he earned his B.S.

He was employed by Star Paper Tube as manager of the Mobile Plant for 39 years. He then owned and operated a successful landscaping and lawn care business in Fairhope for many years. Upon his retirement, he worked part time for Bass Pro Shops in Spanish Fort, where he enjoyed working with fellow sports enthusiasts and sharing his love and knowledge of both fishing and hunting.

He also enjoyed serving as a deacon in the Baptist Church and singing in the choir.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janet (nee Torrence); his children, Sherry (and Scott) Ringenoldus of Spanish Fort, Alabama, Shelia (and Sean) Kennedy of Daphne, Alabama and Robert (and Cindy) of Dunedin, Florida; and his six grandchildren, Blakely, Jordan, Ashlee, Hannah, Tanner and Amber; and his two great-grandchildren, Kaylor and Sawyer; and his sister, Marsha Lynn Chinal of Dallas, Texas. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 5, 2018, from 5 until 7 p.m., at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 6, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope.

Interment will follow at Jubilee Memorial Gardens.
