The 2019 Baldwin County Career & Job Fair is bringing employers from a broad range of industries together to connect with job seekers and those looking to make a career move. With Baldwin County’s unemployment rate at 3.3%, this could be the perfect time to explore the job market.
“Whether you’re under-employed, just graduating or have been searching for the perfect fit, the Career & Job Fair offers the chance to see what’s available,” said Eastern Shore Chamber Workforce Development Director Christina Hellmich. “Don’t wait to make your next move, now is the time.”
Employers represent industries including banking, engineering, utilities, hospitality, health care, law enforcement, sales, manufacturing and more.
Job seekers are encouraged to come dressed for an interview and have plenty of resumes available.
As part of the Career and Job Fair, the Chamber is also offering free seminars for job seekers.
At 9:30 a.m. Melinda Ladnier with the AIDT Maritime Training Center will hold a seminar called “Is a Skilled Trade in the Maritime Industry Right for You?” She will be walking participants through the various free training opportunities available to interested workers.
At 11 a.m. Keniesha Fields, Business Services Administrator with the Alabama Career Center will hold a seminar titled “State Employment Services and Grant Opportunities for Job Seekers.”
The Alabama Career Center and Southwest Alabama Workforce Development Center will both be on hand to assist job seekers.
