Infirmary Health began setting appointments for COVID 19 testing in Baldwin and Mobile counties Monday.

Tests will only be given to patients showing symptoms of possible infection from the coronavirus.

Anyone wishing to inquire about testing should call 251-341-2819 (341-CV19) to speak to a registered nurse. The line will be staffed by Infirmary Health staff members and will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. through March 27.

The tests are open only to Mobile or Baldwin County residents. Anyone seeking an appointment must have valid identification and be 18 or older. Patients who meet the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention criteria to be tested will receive an appointment location and time.

The test will be administered in the car. Patients will be instructed to stay in their vehicle. A clinician will assess symptoms and administer test if needed. After being swabbed, the patient will receive clear next steps from the medical provider.

Clinic appointments will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Wednesday, March 25.
