This chilly weather is a calling card for the upcoming Mardi Gras season. Purple, green and gold colors are in full display in Baldwin County. In case you missed it, Mobile and Dauphin Island recently celebrated with their first parade. Soon the first parades will be hitting the streets in Baldwin County. Do you have a plan for the Mardi Gras season?

In our area, several cities have parades to offer a full schedule of all things Mardi Gras. Pick out a parade schedule that will work for your family. My daughter always enjoyed attending parades. Somehow catching a cheap plastic bead from a Mardi Gras float was exciting. It was enough to make you shout, “Throw Me Something Mister.”

Parades offer plenty of amusement even if you’re only watching the crowd.  Plan to arrive early so that parking does not become an issue. People of all ages love the Mardi Gras throws, parades, moon pies and light up toys. Remember to bring a bag to the parade for your treasures.

Whether your plan consists of attending parades or celebrating at home, Mardi Gras is here. Creole Sausage Crescent City Savory Appetizer recipe is an easy recipe to make. The shape is like a King Cake which is typically available in most grocery stores in our area.

Especially I love that you may make recipe ahead of time and pop in oven as needed. Please try this appetizer and let me know what you think. I would love to hear from you.
