Fishing Therapy: Just What the Doctor Ordered

Posted

A recent fishing trip surpassed the expectations of a group of physicians. Drs. William Blythe, Carl Stephenson, A.M. (Jay) Neumann, Jr., Noble Anderson, and Brian Sullivan booked a snapper trip with Capt. Philip Taylor out of Bear Point Harbor. The colleagues were able to catch their limit of large red snapper, dodge inclement weather, and still make it back under Perdido Pass Bridge in two hours! “We all were most impressed and had a blast! We were most thankful and appreciative of the amazing showing of southern hospitality at its finest!,” said Dr. Noble Anderson.

Captain Philip is a Baldwin County native that started fishing when he was old enough to hold a rod. He offers some of the best fishing trips on the Gulf Coast, and believes fishing therapy can soothe the soul. “I’ve been fishing as long as I can remember, and I love taking people fishing. I’m lucky enough to live and work in paradise. Being able to take smaller charters, and offer a more hands-on experience is what it’s all about. You can’t beat the smile on a kid’s face when they catch their first fish! ”, said Capt. Philip.

In addition to fishing trips, Capt. Philip also offers fantastic dolphin cruises. In 1996, he and his wife, Paula, started the first dolphin cruises in the area, Cold Mil Dolphin Cruises. Their guests are able to see beautiful and amazing dolphins jumping and surfing up close. The dolphin cruises are enjoyed by all ages, and are an incredible experience. Be sure to book one of these great cruises, too!
