ROBERTSDALE, Alabama — Get your tickets now for the 20th Annual PCA Championship Rodeo, which will be held Friday and Saturday, March 8 and 9 at the Baldwin County Fairgrounds arena in Robertsdale.

Advance tickets cost $10 for adults and are available at Greer’s in Robertsdale, the Summerdale Western Shore, Central Baldwin Chamber of Commerce, Bryant Bank locations in Foley and Daphne, and the Silverhill and Summerdale branches of United Bank.

Friday night is Kid’s Night and children 12 and under are admitted free with a parent or guardian. Saturday advance tickets for children 5 to 12 cost $4.

Friday and Saturday tickets cost $12 on the night of the event for adults; Saturday tickets cost $6 at the gate for ages 5 to 12. Admission for ages 5 and under is free both nights.

“We are looking forward to our 20th Annual PCA Rodeo this year and hope that everyone will come out and enjoy some family fun with us,” said 2018-19 Rotary Club President Jeff Plato. “We enjoy putting this rodeo on and look forward to it each year. Not only will you have some great family fun you will also be helping us help our local charities.”

Rodeo organizers and this year’s Rodeo clown will also be touring schools once again on Thursday, March 7 to help promote the rodeo.

Entertainment for this year’s rodeo will be provided by legendary rodeo clown Reggie Purvis.

Better known as the Raging Cajun, the Independence, Louisiana native, who has been competing on the rodeo circuit since the age of 13, will feature Apply the Wonder Horse and Andy, the world’s smartest pony, along with all his funny antics.

Rodeo participants will also once again get the opportunity to win a Henry Golden Boy Long Colt .45 rifle, courtesy of Campbell Hardware. Participants will also have the chance to win two additional prizes, a Benchcraft Rocker Recliner (courtesy of Robertsdale’s Furniture City) and a one-night stay at Windcreek Casino & Hotel in Atmore, plus a voucher for Windcreek’s world famous Fire grill (total package value $330).

Raffle tickets are being sold through Rotary Club members or during the event. Tickets are $5 each or five for $20 and a drawing will be held at the Rotary Club’s weekly meeting Tuesday, March 12.

Local students are also invited to participate in the annual coloring contest, presented by Bryant Bank. You can pick up an entry form at the Foley and Daphne locations of Bryant Bank or check with your local school.

One girls’ and one boys’ bicycle, donated by Walmart, will be given away each night during the rodeo.

The event is produced by Bo Campbell Rodeo and is part of the Ram Rodeo Series.
