SEMINOLE, Alabama — An elderly Seminole man was struck and killed while walking on U.S. 90 in Seminole early Sunday morning.

According to a release issued Sunday by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Albert Frank Watson, 65, of Seminole, was walking east along U.S. 90 near Seminole Drive just after 7 a.m. on Sunday, March 3 when he was struck and killed by an automobile, driven by 35-year-old Stephen Mark Chaney of Robertsdale.

Alabama State Troopers were called to the scene. Watson suffered fatal injuries in the collision. Cheney was not injured.

There was no word as to whether Cheney would be charged in the case as troopers continue to investigate.
