Former Alabama Crimson Tide softball players Peyton Grantham and Leona Lafaele joined Lady Eagles head softball coach Stephanie Garris and staff for a clinic on Thursday, July 12 at Snook Christian Academy in Foley.

Grantham, a native of Daphne, recently completed her senior season, finishing her career with 133 starts for the Crimson Tide, batting .233 with 17 homeruns and 74 RBI. Lafaele, a native of Sacramento, California, started 176 games for Alabama from 2013-16, batting .286 with 28 homeruns and 124 RBI. Both played in the infield for the Crimson Tide.

About 25 girls from fourth grade through high school participated in the clinic, the first to be hosted by Garris, who is in her second season as Lady Eagles head coach. “We are just getting off the ground and the opportunity for these girls to learn from players that have achieved success at the highest level is invaluable to our program,” Garris said, adding that she plans to host a pitching clinic later this summer.
