Fairhope Unitarian Fellowship invites you to join us this Sunday for an enlightening talk. Speaker: Dana Roberts. Title of talk: ‘South Pacific: The Musical’s Journey to Broadway’. How did South Pacific make it to Broadway? What almost happened to keep the show from ever existing? What decision did director Josh Logan make that he would forever regret? How did Rodgers and Hammerstein work together? What are some of the original lyrics of now famous songs? How much did the lead performers contribute to creating the songs? What is the universal message of South Pacific? Dana Roberts guides us through that journey to the NYC stage of 1949. We are located at 1150 Fairhope Ave., Fairhope, and service starts at 11 a.m.
