2019 Firecracker Invitational set at Heron Lakes

MOBILE, Ala. - The 2019 Firecracker Invitational is set for July 5-7 at Heron Lakes Country Club in Mobile. Dating back to 1968, the Firecracker Invitational has a rich history on the Gulf Coast. The annual event, sponsored by Lexus of Mobile, is considered one the of the area’s three major golf tournaments along with the Azalea City Metro and the Country Club of Mobile’s Labor Day Tournament.

This year’s invitational schedule includes a 54-hole championship and a senior championship flight played Friday-Sunday, a 36-hole non-championship flight, which includes seniors 65 and over, using the Stableford Point system on Saturday and Sunday, and a new ladies’ flight as well. All flights are determined by handicap.

Entry fees are $150 for members, $175 cardholders, and $200 for the public. This includes golf, range balls, a practice round, (non-Championship flight), festivities, a weekend family-guest pass good for all club facilities, two happy hours, a Calcutta Diner, lunch and a huge fireworks show on the fifth of July.
