Arden DeVere Ward, a life-long resident of Baldwin County, passed away on Friday October 16, 2020. Arden and her late husband Cecil, had a successful career as entrepreneurs, starting several businesses, including a dairy, an egg farm, and a construction company. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends. With a kind heart, she was always eager to help someone less fortunate than herself. Arden lived a long life full of adventures, and countless lifelong friendships. She passed peacefully with her family by her side holding her hand. She will be missed by everyone she knew and touched. Arden was preceded by Cecil, her husband of 65 years, and is survived by four children, Donald (Sheila) Ward, Vicki (Charles) Vacarella, Douglas (Jeanine) Ward, and Terri (Hank) Howell, nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Fairhope Christian Church. Visitation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made on her behalf to Fairhope Christian Church.
