Baldwin SRO charged with DUI in Mobile

MOBILE, Alabama — A school resource officer with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office has been placed on administrative leave after she was arrested on DUI charges while off-duty in the early morning hours Sunday in Mobile.

Records show that 38-year-old Lisa Bedgood was booked into the Mobile Metro Jail at 1:58 a.m. Sunday on charges of driving under the influence. She was released at 6:26 a.m.

According to a release issued Monday by the BCSO investigations division, Bedgood has been with the Sheriff's Office for five years and was assigned as a School Resource Officer. According to reports, she was stationed at Delta Elementary School.

The Sheriff’s Office has opened a formal internal investigation that will be carried out by deputies assigned to the Professional Standards Unit, according to the release.

Bedgood will remain off-duty pending the outcome of the investigation.
