At approximately 8:35 a.m., Orange Beach Police were contacted by a citizen who saw the Orange Beach Police Facebook post regarding the accident and the involved vehicle description. The caller stated they had seen the vehicle turn into a body shop on AL59 in Gulf Shores. Officers responded to the location and determined the driver of the vehicle had dropped the vehicle off and left. Vehicle parts left at the scene were confirmed to have come from the vehicle left at the body shop. Allen Preston Tillis, 50, of Foley was identified as the driver of the vehicle. Tillis was located at his residence in Foley. Tillis admitted to leaving the scene and was cited for Leaving the Scene of Accident. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
