Central Baldwin Chamber's annual event showcases food, wine, small business

ROBERTSDALE, Alabama — The Central Baldwin Chamber of Commerce will hold its 15th Annual “Flavors of the South,” wine and food tasting event July 19, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Baldwin County Coliseum in Robertsdale.

The event is a premier showcase for local wine, beverage and restaurants, their chefs and culinary personalities. This is an opportunity to get involved with a large community event that allows for consumer exposure with attendance of more than 400 people.

“We are expecting more than 30 vendors (food and wine) at this event,” said Chamber Executive Director Gail Quesada, “and we are looking forward to showing people what this area has to offer.”

Vendors for the event include Ivey’s; Café Acadiana; Little Cake Shoppe; LA BBQ & Catering; Chicken Salad Chick; Naman’s Catering; Wolf Bay Lodge; Wind Creek Casino & Hotel Atmore; Fairhope Roasting Company; Vitolli’s Pizzeria & Italian Eatery; Boudreaux’s Cajun Grill; Wahlburgers; Mama Mia! Pizzeria; Goo Roo’s Grill; Desmond’s Taste of Jamaica; Another Broken Egg; Rock n Roll Sushi; Yard Milkshake Bar; Derailed Diner; Dream Dinners; Key’s Southern Spice; Magnolia Blossom Café; Billy Jack’s Grill & Bar Rush Wine; Budweiser Busch Distributing; Greer’s; Foosackly’s and Kona Ice (truck outside). In addition, Cozumel Mexican Grill, Farm Fresh Meats; Zaxby’s and Cactus Cantina are also expected to participate but had not confirmed at presstime, officials said.

Individual tickets will still be available for sale at the door, $30 per person.

Presenting sponsor for this year’s event is South Baldwin Regional Medical Center.

The event will also feature a silent auction. Silent auction items are donated from area businesses to assist the chamber in bringing in operating funds.
