Island Spirit Awarded to Coastal Alabama Business Chamber's Katy Petrovics

Posted

In a special presentation at their First Friday Forum event, the Coastal Alabama Business Chamber recently presented the Island Spirit Award for the month of September to one of their own, administrative assistant Katy Petrovics.

Katy's nominations had this to say about her, "Katy began her journey working for the Coastal Alabama Business Chamber August 26, 2011. Since then, Katy has truly embodied what it means to have Island Spirit. She manages her job here at the Chamber, works another job, as well as volunteering countless hours of her time to make this Island a better place for everyone. She will do anything for any of her co-workers and is always going beyond average to help people. She is a great friend to people and an enjoyably witty person."

The Island Spirit Award is presented monthly by the Coastal Alabama Business Chamber and has been a tradition since the mid 1980s. The award was designed to give recognition to individuals who make special contributions to the quality of life we enjoy in the Coastal Alabama region. Leslie Haley chairs the Island Spirit Committee. Anyone can nominate a person they feel provides excellent customer service to our residents and visitors alike. Nomination forms are available at www.islandspiritaward.com.
