The Fairhope Junior City Council hosted a Kickoff to Summer, Fairhope's first official kickball tournament.
The event raised money for the Fairhope Rotary Youth Club to help provide scholarships for children to be part of the club programming, restore the club’s playground and purchase new books for the club’s library.
Teams ranging in age from 6th grade to adult battled to be the city’s kickball champions.
The Fairhope Junior City Council, is an organization made up of 10 high school students who serve as a voice for the youth of Fairhope in the city government.
