Moe’s Original BBQ reopened to the public Jan. 22. While the extensive construction took longer than expected, 800 square feet was added to the size of the building to make the dining room, bathrooms and kitchen larger. Additionally, salads, Bushwackers and liquor drinks were added to the menu.

Guests dining in will receive buzzers while waiting for their orders. Take out customers will be texted when orders are ready and will be able to grab them quickly from a designated pickup window. To celebrate the reopening, Moe’s Original BBQ hosted a free show with country music singer-songwriter Brent Cobb along with musician Rob Aldridge Friday in the Backyard.

“We did not let the catastrophic fire or the hurricane that followed keep us down. We looked to the positive and saw it as an opportunity for a new beginning to come back even better,” said co-owner Lee Nelson. “We are thrilled to be able to open back up for our customers and supporters who were there for us through these difficult times.”

Serving Alabama-style barbecue since 1988, Moe’s Original BBQ has been named in the Top 10 BBQ Chains in America by USA Today and The Daily Meal, one of the fastest growing, emerging restaurant chains by Restaurant Business Magazine, and one of the Top 10 Rib Joints in the U.S. by Relish.

Served with red and Alabama white sauces, the award-winning smoked menu features pulled pork, ribs, wings, turkey and chicken as well as fish and shrimp selections. Prepared fresh daily, a rotation of 60 traditional Southern sides and housemade desserts are also offered.

Customers can dine in, take out, order delivery or enjoy catering for parties and events. Moe’s Original BBQ Orange Beach is located at 25603 Perdido Beach Boulevard. For more information about Moe’s Original BBQ, visit www.moesoriginal bbq.com.
