Norene Dean White

Norene Dean White, age 87, of Gulf Shores, Alabama, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2017 surrounded by family and friends.

She was born Dec. 31, 1929 in Stapleton, Alabama. Norene was a 1947 graduate of Robertsdale High School, completing her junior and senior class in one year. She was an honor student, member of FHA, participated in beauty pageants and numerous high school activities.

Norene was an extremely successful real estate broker. While selling real estate was her profession, which she enjoyed immensely, she also enjoyed family, fishing, gardening, art and sewing.

Norene was preceded in death by her husband, of 40 years, Charles Alton White Sr.; her daughter, Diane White Hartley; parents, Garrie and Mary Dean; brothers, LeVaughn Dean, Jerry Dean and Clark Dean.

She is survived by her three children, Theresa (David) Stephens, Florence, Alabama, Charles Alton White Jr. (Susan), Elsanor, Alabama and Melissa White (Hampton) Hubbard, Gulf Shores, Alabama; sister, Mary Jean Dean Barnhill, Loxley, Alabama; six grandchildren, Ashley (Paige) Stephens of Florence, Alabama, Jarod Alton "Jay" (Jennifer) Stephens of Suwanee, Georgia, Leslie (Heather) White of Gainesville, Florida, Shawn (Michelle) White of Gulf Shores, Alabama, Michael Hartley (Chelsey Saunders) of Gulf Shores, Alabama and Melissa Hartley (Miko Buford Sr.) of Mobile, Alabama; great-grandchildren, Alton Henry and Charles Stephens, William and Luke Stephens, Shawn Coleman and Channing White, Brantley and Hayden White, Miko and Maddox Buford; step-grandchildren, Krystal Parden, Charity O'Connel, Vida Hubbard (Garth) Yeagar, Glee Hubbard (Greg) Barnhill; step-grandchildren, Nicole Yeagar and Hannah Yeagar; and great-great-step-grandson, Mason Perry.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Robertsdale United Methodist Church, with Rev. David Stephens and Rev. Cindy Still officiating.

A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service at the church.

Burial will be in the Hail Memorial Cemetery, Robertsdale, Alabama.

The family wishes to thank caregivers Desiree Salter, Dianne Carroll, Iara Soraes and Heather Seals and Sharon Weaver for their loving, devoted, thoughtful care of our Mother. The family also wishes to thank Community Hospice of Foley, especially, Becky Timms, Dottie Dawson and Chaplain Cindy Still and Lisa Anderson.
