BAY MINETTE — Baldwin County High School's Gail Pinkard inked a softball scholarship with Bishop State Community College. The power hitter has been a stand-out for the Lady Tigers for the past four years. This season alone she has a .375 batting average with five homeruns, 25 RBIs, and five stolen bases.

“I am extremely proud of Gail. Gail is a high character student-athlete who will be a successful student-athlete at Bishop State," said BCHS head coach Anthony Cox. "Gail has played first base for us since her ninth-grade year and she does a tremendous job hitting and fielding. She has hit a total of 22 homeruns in her career at Baldwin County High School and looking forward to many more this year!”

Joining Pinkard at the signing ceremony were Bishop State coach Angelo Archible, coach Cox, and her mother Maggie Pinkard.
