SUMMERDALE, Alabama — Investigators with the Summerdale Police Department are seeking a pair of individuals they say robbed the Dollar General on Alabama 59 Wednesday night, then attempted to run over the store manager while making their escape.

According to a release issued Thursday by the Summerdale PD, at approximately 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, two individuals, one male and one female, shoplifted merchandise from the store.

Then, officials say, while they were escaping the scene in a gray-silver newer model Chevrolet Equinox, with the man driving, they attempted to run over the store manager in the parking lot.
