INDIAN LAND, South Carolina — As the Season 1 finale of The Cowboy Way: Alabama was set to air Thursday, Sept. 28, family-entertainment network INSP confirmed that Season 2 of the successful original docuseries, featuring Robertsdale cowboy Cody Harris, will premiere on Thursday, Jan. 4 at 7 p.m. Central time. The announcement was made Thursday by Doug Butts, SVP of Programming at INSP.

“We are very pleased with the way audiences have responded to the first season of The Cowboy Way: Alabama,” said Butts. “Our viewers have embraced the charm and authenticity of these hard-working cowboys. Whether roping cattle or attending a diaper class, their passion for the cowboy way of life is genuine, rugged and refreshing. Season 1 resonated strongly with audiences, and we are confident they will find season 2 even more engaging.”

The Cowboy Way: Alabama depicts the reality of cowboy life, from brutally long hours and uncertain income to the challenges of balancing family life against the demands of a growing business. Driven by a strong work ethic and the business acumen needed to be successful ranchers, these three cowboys: Bubba Thompson - rancher and expert carpenter; Cody Harris - rodeo champion and cattle dealer; and, Chris "Booger” Brown – cattleman and gifted horse trainer; live according to an old-fashioned cowboy code as they build their modern day cattle business in South Alabama.

Harris and fellow SHA alum Thompson formed the Faith Cattle Company with Brown in 2013. A reality show, “Dukes of Cattle” was made from that venture and the new series, produced by the same company that produced Sweet Home and Southern Nights, continues to follow their exploits.

A pilot episode aired on the network twice in July of 2016 and the series premiered in August on the network. As with Season 1, a good portion of the second season is being filmed in and around Baldwin County, including footage from Harris’ Bulls on the Beach event in September at the famous Flora-Bama Lounge.

The Cowboy Way: Alabama is produced for INSP by Glassman Media.
