The Wharf cancels MoonPies on Main Mardi Gras events due to weather

The Wharf’s Annual MoonPies on Main parades and outdoor events, including both the Kid & Pet and Float parades, have been canceled for Feb. 24 due to projected weather conditions. The material of the floats is not made from weather-resistant products and, unfortunately, cannot get wet.

“We apologize for any inconveniences, but we feel this is the right decision when taking all things into consideration,” said Jim Bibby, general manager, The Wharf. “We are looking forward to sunny skies this weekend and hope to see you on-site for the Seafood Festival and Car Show Feb. 29.”

Shades Sunglasses and Casual Apparel at The Wharf, in partnership with the Baldwin Humane Society, will still be hosting their pet adoption from 4 - 6 p.m. They are encouraging visitors to bring their pets to the store to see if they have a compatible companion.

For guests that have pre-registered for the Paint Art Live event, or for those interested in attending, it will now take place in The Port at The Wharf from 3-5 p.m. The class is $10.
