The Wharf Reveals Monumental Upgrade At Annual So.Much.Summer Sparks After Dark Event

Fireworks show will include entertainment including state-of-the-art light show

The Wharf has kicked off the summer season with its So. Much. Summer. campaign which includes weekly family friendly events. And in conjunction with this Monday’s Sparks After Dark event, The Wharf will be  premiering  monumental  and exciting new  enhancements  recently  made  to the SPECTRA Sound and Light Spectacular show.

The event is set to begin promptly at 8:30 p.m., with the premiere of the new SPECTRA show first and the fireworks display to immediately follow.

The state-of-the-art system recently underwent   a major upgrade which now includes  lasers that, along with digital video projection, allow for an astounding performance. The show will now be called the “SPECTRA Laser Light Experience” to incorporate the improvements.

“The enhancements not only include the ultramodern lasers but brand new, upgraded lights made to be weather-resistant and specifically designed for outdoor shows,” said Sheena Mizell, director of marketing and public relations, The Wharf. “This means every light in the show will have more modernized technology working behind it. The additions will allow creators to add in advanced digital graphics and remarkable effects, including new thirty- and sixty-second themed showings. We can’t wait to showcase the new additions with visitors from across the country at the Sparks After Dark premiere.”

Visitors are encouraged to bring the whole family for a night full of fun. Spectators are welcome to come out early to enjoy the DJ playing at 7 p.m., grab a drink in the Entertainment District and then select a socially distant viewing location for their family.

Additionally, from now until  Aug. 9, So.Much.Summer. will include  recurring  events  throughout  the  week  aimed to provide fun, free activities for the entire family.
