GULF SHORES AND ORANGE BEACH, ALA. – The National Collegiate Beach Volleyball Championship has a stake in the Gulf Shores sands through 2022, and the 2018 championship is bound to be bigger and better than ever with ESPN on board to telecast the championship. Tickets are on sale now for the NCAA championship taking place May 4-6 at the newly revitalized Gulf Shores Public Beach. The event is hosted by the city of Gulf Shores, Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Sports Commission and the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
“We are proud of our 32 miles of sugar white sandy beaches and of our southern hospitality," said Gulf Shores Mayor Robert Craft. “But, we are equally proud of our relationship with the NCAA and excited to host the National Collegiate Beach Volleyball Championship on our newly revitalized public beach.”
Full coverage from all five courts will be aired live by “the worldwide leader in sports” throughout its family of networks. The championship match will air on the main ESPN network Sunday afternoon.
