FOLEY - The South Baldwin Chamber Foundation’s 10th Annual BBQ & Blues Cook-Off will

be held 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 17 at Heritage Park in Foley, Alabama. This year’s

presenting sponsor is Riverview Turf.

The annual BBQ & Blues Cook-off started in 2009 as one of the Foundations biggest fundraisers. It is an outdoor food and music event held in Downtown Foley’s Heritage Park the

third Saturday of March. An Alabama Barbecue Trail event, the barbecue cook-off attracts both

professional and backyard teams competing for bragging rights in several award categories.

Competition rules follow guidelines of the Alabama Barbeque Association. Competition

categories are Chicken, Ribs, Boston Butts, Sauce and Anything “Butt” including exotic items,

seafood and desserts. Points awarded only in the three meat categories of Chicken, Ribs and

Boston Butts will determine the Grand Champion.

The South Baldwin Chamber Foundation is currently seeking cook teams and arts and crafts vendors. The cooking competition is open to everyone with the $100 entry fee covering all

competition categories and up to six team members. Please visit the website,

foleybbqandblues.com, to sign up or call Kylee Raulerson at 251-943-5590.
