BAY MINETTE, Alabama — When Baldwin County High School student Lane Aaron noticed his friend needed a new oxygen tank holder, he quietly filled that need with the help of North Baldwin Pharmacy.

Lane and Tysis Barnes are in the same physical education class and teacher DeMarcus Mosley said the two often spend time together during that period. Mosley said Tysis’ old holder was falling apart and his friend want to help solve that problem.

Lane’s mother, Kelly Demko, works at the pharmacy and after visiting the store one day, Lane noticed they had some of the carts for sale and asked his mother how much they cost.

He shared the story of his friend Tysis and told his mom he wanted to use his own money to buy the cart for him. The next day his mom told the owners about the situation and instead of selling the cart to Lane, they donated it to him so he could gift it to Tysis.

During last week’s pep rally, Principal Craig Smith also recognized Lane for his kindness and presented him with tickets to the football game.
