BAY MINETTE, Alabama — The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office is offering a $5,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest and conviction of a person or persons responsible for the homicide of Joseph Elmer “Buddy” Broughton.
According to a release issued March 24 by the BCSO Investigations Command, Broughton was found dead in his home at 9991 County Road 138 in Bay Minette on Oct. 7, 2016.
He was the long-time owner of Broughtons’ Gas Station and Convenience store located at 9333 Hurricane Road in the Crossroads Community in Bay Minette.
Anyone with any information about this homicide is asked to call the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office at 251-937-0202, or call the area Crime Stoppers organization to provide information.
