BMES campers tie die shirts the natural way

Summer campers at Bay Minette Elementary learned how to make their own tie dye shirts using natural options. Charlotte Roberts from Alabama Cooperative Extension System taught the campers about the various fruits, vegetables, and flowers that can be used to create vibrant tie dye designs. After learning all about these options, the campers got to create their own shirts. Roberts visits the camp weekly to talk with the students about healthy habits, and the importance of taking care of nature and learning life skills through hands-on learning, such growing plants and vegetables.
