Charles "Buck" Bishop, age 86, a resident of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020.
He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, Fairhope, where he was a deacon emeritus, and a member of Sunset Mountain Boys and Puppet Ministry.
He was a veteran of U.S. National Guard and U.S. Marine Corps. He retired from Poser Printing, and was a grounds man at the Grand Hotel.
Buck was a loving husband, father and grandfather; an avid Alabama football fan and loved working in the yard.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Elizabeth, of Fairhope; daughter, Sherrie (Scott) Clark of Pensacola; brother, David (Carol) Bishop of Fairhope; sister, Laura (Floyd) Yeager of Fairhope; grandchildren, Seth Clark of Orlando, Florida and Spencer Clark of Pensacola; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Jan. 12, 2020 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Fairhope.
Visitation will begin at 1.
Interment will follow the funeral service at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Paul Martin Scholarship Fund, c/o First Baptist Church, Fairhope.
