BAY MINETTE, Alabama -- The Zachariah Godbold Chapter, Bay Minette, of The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution hosted the annual Baldwin County Chapters’ Flag Day Luncheon at the Lake Forest Yacht Club on June 14.

Luncheon guests included the State Regent of The Alabama Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Nancy Sturkie Folk, additional honored State Society Officers, and members and spouses of the Bon Secour, Ecor Rouge, Fort Bowyer and Fort Mims Chapters.

Luncheon attendees welcomed Karen White, an actress from Theatre 98, who portrayed and shared an historical narrative of Betsy Ross.

The Alabama Bicentennial Commission and Alabama Historical Commission provided materials reminding luncheon attendees of both Commissions’ past and upcoming events commemorating Alabama history and celebrating Alabama’s Bicentennial.

The Betsy Ross House of Philadelphia provided guidance and literature in support of White’s presentation.
