Dead body found south of Magnolia Springs

MAGNOLIA SPRINGS, Alabama — The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a dead body was discovered in a wooded area around County Road 49 in the Magnolia Springs area.

According to a release issued Sunday, BCSO deputies discovered a 48-year-old male lying dead in a wood area a few feet from a driveway near the Magnolia Springs Hideaway Campground near the intersection of County Road 49 and Laurent Road after receiving a complaint at 4:36 p.m. on Sunday.

The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an on-going investigation into the cause of death. Notification of the next of kin is in progress.
