Dual Ernest Morris, 85, affectionately known as "Spud," passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017.

He was born to Marion and Jettie Campbell Morris in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee and grew up in Atmore, Alabama.

Spud, a longtime resident of Robertsdale, Alabama, served in the Army National Guard and spent many years as the owner of Morris Auto Supply in Robertsdale. In later years, owned Gulf Motor Supply in Foley and Loxley.

He served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher at First Baptist Church of Robertsdale.

He is survived by his wife, Charolette Bonner Morris; sons, Paul Morris of Summerdale, Alabama and Keith Morris of Perdido Beach, Alabama; stepson, Victor R. Mikkelsen (Ellen) of Summerdale, Alabama; stepdaughter, Pamela Brown of Daphne, Alabama; siblings, Rev. Rual W. Morris (Bonnie) of Pace, Florida, Willene M. Beck of Atmore, Alabama, Carlyle M. Morris (Bert) of Robertsdale, Alabama; six grandchildren, Monica Morris Stowers (Chris) of Carmel, Indiana, Marina Morris Simpson (Matt) of Daphne, Alabama, USAF Capt. Micah Morris (Lucie) of Las Vegas, Nevada, Madison Morris and Morgan Morris of Los Angeles, California, McKenzie Morris of Foley, Alabama; five step-grandchildren, Hunter Mikkelsen (Shauna) of Perdido Beach, Alabama, Caitlin Mikkelsen and Chase Mikkelsen of Summerdale, Alabama, Emelie Brown and Benton Brown of Daphne, Alabama; four great-grandchildren, John Wallace, Alaina, Elizabeth and Caroline.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Mack Funeral Home.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to services from 1-2 p.m. at Mack Funeral Home.

Interment will be held in Baldwin Memorial Cemetery.
