Gary DeArman passed away peacefully at his home on September 7, 2020, surrounded by his wife and daughter, after a courageous battle with cancer. Gary was born on September 13, 1951 in Birmingham, Alabama to Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. DeArman. He attended Jacksonville State University before enlisting in the Alabama Air National Guard in the 109 Evac Hospital Unit. Afterwards, he had a 25 year long well respected career with Rheem Manufacturing Company as the National Accounts Manager in Birmingham and Montgomery. Upon retirement, Gary and Margaret moved to Fairhope, Alabama. Gary was an avid golfer and was a member of Quail Creek Golf Club. He and Margaret were also members of the Fairhope Yacht Club where they enjoyed many sunsets over Mobile bay and spent good times with good friends. Gary’s other hobbies included gardening, grilling, watching his Grandson’s baseball games and SEC football, especially Alabama, RTR! Gary and Margaret were active members of St. Frances at the Point Anglican Church in Point Clear. Gary served his church and his God in many capacities and was well loved by his Christian family. He is survived by the love of his life for 47 years, Margaret, daughter Ali (Jason) and Grandsons Charlie (7), and Mac (5). “Pop” will be greatly missed by his beloved Grandsons. He never missed a baseball game and enjoyed teaching the boys the game of golf. He is also survived by brother, Ed (Cindy), sister, Ann Branch (Jim) and sister, Lynda, all of Birmingham. His life reminds us all of the Christian faith and love of our fellow man. Gary was always known as the kindest, sweetest man and the most gentle of Southern Gentleman. His gift to all was his warm smile, quick wit, inviting friendship and unconditional love. Always easy to hug.

A memorial service will he held on Saturday September 26th at 11:00am at St Frances at the Point Church in Point Clear AL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the church in his name. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation for all the love shown to them during this time. God Bless.
