Jane McKibbon Soesbe, 70, died July 6th, 2020 in her home in Foley, Alabama. Jane was born on December 1st, 1949 in Anniston, Alabama to Lucius and Helen Jane McKibbon. She graduated from Foley High School in 1968. She served the community as a substitute teacher and office clerk in the Baldwin County public schools. She was also the middle school cheerleading sponsor and on campus detention aide. She was a dedicated member of Foley First Baptist Church and spread the word of God to everyone she met. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and her husband Reverend Michael L. Soesbe. Mike and Jane served at many churches in the Southern Baptist conference, including Rolling Creek Baptist, Silver Creek Baptist, Mt. Olive Baptist, Perdido First Baptist, and St. Elmo First Baptist Church.Jane is survived by her sister, Edith Calloway; brother, Hank McKibbon; daughter, Wendy Joellenbeck (Aaron); son Michael Soesbe (Tracie); and 4 wonderful grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and playing games with her family, as well as leading Vacation Bible School and singing in the choir.Jane was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) in 2014. Her and her family participated in the annual Walk to Defeat ALS event to raise money for research for a cure. In lieu of flowers, Jane has requested that donations be made to Foley First Baptist Church or The ALS Association of Alabama. A service will be held on Thursday, July 9th 2020 at Foley First Baptist Church in Foley, Alabama. Visitation will start at 1:00pm and the funeral will follow at 2:00pm. There will be a private graveside service for the family following the church services.
