Judith Barnette Webb peacefully passed into glory on Aug. 14, 2019 at the age of 88, surrounded by her family.

She was born May 2, 1931 in Sprott, Alabama, to Floyd and Vera Barnette.

She graduated with a degree in home economics from Judson College and briefly taught in Union Town before working for the County Extension Service in Butler County. It was there that she met Clyde Webb, and they were married in Pine Flatt Baptist Church in 1956. They were happily married for 49 years before his passing in 2005.

She loved time with her family, gardening, pond fishing and was a faithful member of Evergreen Baptist Church in Evergreen, Alabama, where she taught Sunday school and was an active member of the WMU.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Webb; and brother, Everett Barnette.

She is survived by her brother, Nelson Barnette (Nell); three loving children, Ray Webb (Robin), Mike Webb and Genie Webb Bailey (Owen); seven adoring grandchildren, Emily Bailey, Anna Bailey, Sam Bailey, Charlie Bailey, Katie Webb, Allison Webb and Elizabeth Ann Webb; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends who will miss her dearly.

Funeral services will be held 12 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 17, 2019 at Evergreen Baptist Church, with Rev. Jack Williamson officiating.

Interment will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.
