ATMORE, Alabama — United Bank’s President and CEO, Robert R. Jones III has announced David Kitchens as retail banking officer and Silverhill branch manager.

In his role, Kitchens will work to build and expand customer relationships while maintaining the daily operations of the Silverhill branch. In addition to his branch management role, Kitchens will continue to lead United Bank’s Farm to Table initiative.

“I am excited about the plans David has to move to greater levels of success with his deep commitment to Baldwin County,” Jones said. “We welcome David’s leadership and investing of his talent to support new areas of growth of business such as our Farm to Table project. I am confident in his visions that will help move our organization forward in the goals for his market.”

A native of Baldwin County, Kitchens comes from two generations of small business owners. For more than 65 years, his family has grown their business into their family legacy. That same deep rooted desire to build small business leadership was instilled in Kitchens when he first began working at the family owned business at the age of 16.

Kitchens has channeled that leadership into strengthening United Bank’s presence in its Farm to Table initiative. Through advocacy, networking and business development he’s committed resources to assisting farmers, farm markets and educators involved within this niche supply chain and drive it to become a reliable resource.

Kitchens joined United Bank in 2014 after graduating with a degree in finance from Auburn University. He attends Robertsdale United Methodist Church and is involved in a number of community organizations. He is active in the Central Baldwin Chamber serving on several committees.

In July 2016, he was recognized as Chamber Ambassador of the Month. He has volunteered with the Refuge for Women leading financial literacy classes educating them on the importance of making responsible financial decisions. Additionally, he served as the official banker for the annual Loxley Strawberry Festival.

Kitchens’ office is in Silverhill at 21950 Broad St. He can be reached at david.kitchens@unitedbank.com or at 251-945-1902.
