Linda Bailey Sislak

Linda Bailey Sislak, age 74, passed away on Feb. 10, 2020 at her home in Fairhope, Alabama with her family by her side.

Mrs. Sislak was born Dec. 30, 1945 in Foley, Alabama to Earl E. Bailey Sr. and Eva Brice Bailey. She grew up on her family dairy farm near Marion, Alabama and attended Perry County High School.

She earned a bachelor's degree from Livingston University before starting her 20-plus-year career in Human Resources with the State of Alabama.

Linda married John D. Sislak in 1980 and raised one son, Adam. She went on to become the librarian of St. Patrick Catholic School where she was immensely involved and served various roles ranging from school bus driver to PTO president. Eventually, Linda spent her time performing administrative and bookkeeping work for various companies.

In her spare time, Linda enjoyed gardening, antiques and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Sislak was preceded in death by her father, Earl E. Bailey Sr.

She is survived by her husband, John D. Sislak; son, John Adam Sislak (Sarah); granddaughter, Camille Sislak; mother, Eva Brice Bailey; brother, Earl E. Bailey Jr. (Barbara); sister, Rita B. Green (Bill); brother, Steven M. Bailey (Katie); along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and extended family.

Linda was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She always put others before herself and had a true servant's heart. She deeply impacted many lives and will be greatly missed.

A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020 at St. Patrick Church in Robertsdale.

Visitation will be held at 2 p.m. and funeral service at 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Linda B. Sislak's honor to St. Patrick Catholic School.
