Pictured here: Mayor Bob Holk presents Magnolia Springs Garden Club President Gerry Lester with a proclamation in support of the Baldwin County Master Gardeners’ Garden Walk. The Garden Walk will take place on Saturday, May 4 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., rain or shine, and will include a tour of six home gardens, the Magnolia Springs Arboretum, and Foley’s Wilbourne Antique Rose Trail. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 day of tour, cash or check only. Proceeds will benefit the Baldwin County Master Gardeners’ scholarship fund.
The Magnolia Springs Garden Club will participate in the Garden Walk as hostesses, and the public is invited to take part in the tour to view local gardens. Within the Magnolia Springs Arboretum, trees and shrubbery have been labeled so that anyone with a Q-Reader on their phone can swipe the tag and get information about the plants.
“We all know the Garden Club does so much for our community with planting new trees, what they’ve done in the Springs is amazing,” said Holk.
