Mrs. Amanda Ellis Vinson, age 69, of Orange Beach, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018 at the South Baldwin Regional Medical Center in Foley, Alabama.

She was born on May 24, 1949 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Jean Bryant Ellis and Edwin Harding Ellis.

Mrs. Vinson is survived by her husband, Robert L. Vinson; her four children, Christopher (Stacey) Vinson of Sylacauga, Alabama, Renea (Joe) Ray of Alexander City, Alabama, Mandy L. (Brad May) Vinson of Tampa, Florida and Valerie Vinson (Randy) Darby of Robertsdale, Alabama; 10 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter, who is on the way; her two brothers, Edwin H. (Patsy) Ellis III of Raleigh, North Carolina and Paul Ellis of Jacksonville, Florida.

Mrs. Vinson was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and watching youth sports with family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018 at 3 p.m. (EDT) at the Johnson Brown Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley, Alabama. Pastor Nathan Lawrence will officiate.

Interment will follow in Langdale Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 1 p.m. (EDT) until the service hour at the funeral home.
