FOLEY - Chief David Wilson of the Foley Police Department is pleased to announce that SRO Labron Williams has been selected as Officer of the Year for 2017 and Chief Correction Officer Nicole Phillips has been selected as Public Servant Employee of the Year for 2017.

SRO Labron Williams became a member of the Foley Police Department in 2007. Labron serves the students, the teachers, the city and our department as one of four School Resource Officers. His daily interaction has contributed greatly to good relations between children and law enforcement. His presence protects them every day. His attitude and demeanor win friends every day! Labron's best work won't be seen for years to come. It will best be seen years from now when these children he has mentored grow up and contribute greatly to society. Well Done!

Chief Correction Officer Nicole Phillips became a member of the Foley Police Department in 2012. Nicole runs a tight ship as the Chief Correction Officer. She is also compassionate and fair. Nicole has contributed to a great corrections staff and a well-run 55-bed municipal corrections facility. Her leadership, commitment, and professionalism have made a difference in the lives of inmates, in the lives of her correction staff, and in the lives of her coworkers. Well Done!

We congratulate both of you on an exceptional year!
