One man, one hour, tons of entertainment

FOLEY - Nestled in a corner of OWA is a variety show unlike anything you’ve ever seen. The theater is home to Brandon Styles Live, one man who, in one hour, performs impersonations of 60 celebrities, magic, comedy, ventriloquism, and dance. The show is fast-paced, wild, full of Style’s unique talents, and fun for the entire family.

Styles embraces his impersonations, becoming the persona and delighting the audience with his wit, humor, and talent. A few are speaking roles, but most are singing, which Styles performs himself, along with some sweet dance moves. You’ll see Frank Sinatra one moment, Justin Bieber the next, followed by Michael Jackson. You’ll see it all in one-hour.

“The Variety Show is wild, there’s a lot going on,” said Styles. “There’s usually something for everybody. It was choreographed for all ages so people typically leave with something, a nick of what they wanted.”

He stated one of his favorite performances during the show is an impersonation of Elton John’s ‘Candle in the Wind,’ where a candle appears and vanishes during the song. Styles created the act when he was only 14-years-old, and he said it has since been a highlight of his shows.

Soon a new show will hit the stage, a first ever for the theater: “Trip Down Memory Lane Dinner Show.” There will only be 16 chances to experience the show through January and February 2020, with seating of approximately 50-60 for a buffet dinner provided by Groovy Goat prior to the show. It will feature impersonations of the “old greats,” from Neil Diamond, Louis Armstrong, and Tony Bennett.

“The variety is huge, this is something people don’t want to miss out on,” he said. “It’s pretty crazy: you’ve got my whole life into an hour. I’ve worked on these shows my entire life, and they’re very different, I don’t think there’s a show like this. It’s unique, and that was my goal.”
