ROBERTSDALE, Alabama -- The Robertsdale Public Library welcomed princesses and superheroes for its final party of the Summer Reading Program.

Princesses gathered in the main room of the library to enjoy crafts, tea, sandwiches, cake and even got the chance to dance with Prince Charming.

Superheroes took over a side room of the library with games, crafts and pizza.

The theme for this year’s program was “3…2…1… Blastoff!” along with, “Alabama Has a Universe of Stories,” to honor the state’s bicentennial.

Daily events were scheduled throughout the month of June, including programs every Wednesday and parties every Thursday at the library.

In honor of the library’s resident canine Nayla, the library held the daily Reading With Nayla and Friends, which included the library’s newest resident canine, 6-month-old Gracie.
